Students analyzed the Native American Culture and synthesized a logo design to reflect their understanding of American Indian Tribes evident in KS.

Students explored the theme and writing of the Ambassador for Young people's Literature, Walter Dean Myers, and they synthesized a poem depicting his characters, settings, and culture to fulfill writing assignments in Communication Arts.  Students enhanced their individual poem by creating a collage to reflect their personal expressions during Art.

Students summarized their learning on the appropriate use of clay, tools, and techniques on constructing a story plate by completing a reflection form that reflects their art criticism skills.

Students analyzed the style and work of a printmaker, David Stabley, and identified ways the artist used symbols to tell his personal story of dreams.  Students synthesized Stabley's non conventional method of decorating on ceramic sufaces by completing a story plate design that communicates personal stories/interests.

Students explored and identifies elements of art and design principles found in still-life, and they strengthened their observational drawing skills by synthesizing a painting of pumpkin arrangements.

Students explored the current trend of fancy doodling, Zentangle, and they applied their understanding of the use of art elements to create a decorate lettering design to embellish the pillow cases constructed by FACS students during Sewing Unit.

Students explored graphic design, and synthesized the artistic process of creating a t-shirt logo design.  Students combined technology and design skills to produce a marketable t-shirt design for retail.

Students Analyzed the work of Navajo Indians, and they synthesized a functional form using paper coil and colored yarns. Students took amodern approach to art making by replacing the sumac with the colored yarns.
