The Blue Valley Board of Education is excited to welcome Dr. Gillian Chapman as the district’s next Superintendent of Schools. A proven leader with a passion for student success, Dr. Chapman will begin the role on July 1, 2025. She was selected through a process guided by community priorities and brings the experience and values to lead Blue Valley forward.
Our #BVUnmuted series continues as Superintendent Dr. Tonya Merrigan is joined by Dr. Tyson Ostroski (BVN Principal), Scott Roberts (Executive Director of School Administration) and Jeff Breedlove (BVN Teacher) to discuss an update on the district’s personal electronic device policy.
Congratulations to Blue Valley’s Courtney Tegtmeier and Janie Huo, who have been selected as the 2025 recipients of the Blue Valley Educational Foundation’s (BVEF) Innovative Educator Award. The BVEF award recognizes two nominated educators who go above and beyond to inspire, engage and innovate in the classroom by applying innovative teaching methods, fostering critical thinking and igniting a passion for learning in their students.
Community Connections gives Blue Valley community members an opportunity to talk with Board of Education members in a less formal setting. The round-table conversation format allows for great conversations about topics of interest in the community. The next connection is scheduled from 6-7 p.m. on April 24 at the Blue Valley District Office.
Blue Valley Schools is proud to announce that 41 of our students have been named National Merit Finalists. This remarkable achievement reflects our students' dedication, hard work and academic excellence. This accomplishment also reflects the support of our educators and #BVTogether community.
