Three Blue Valley students named U.S. Presidential Scholars semifinalists
Three extraordinary Blue Valley seniors — Trisha Rastogi, Sriram Srinivasa Kalki and Leena Dudi — have earned notable recognition as semifinalists in the 2025 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. Rastogi, Srinivasa Kalki and Dudi are among eight Kansas students named semifinalists in the U.S. Department of Education’s prestigious national recognition program. The program recognizes and honors the nation’s most distinguished high school seniors for their academic success, artistic excellence, leadership and demonstrated commitment to high ideals.

Board of Education names Dr. Gillian Chapman incoming superintendent
The Blue Valley Board of Education is excited to welcome Dr. Gillian Chapman as the district’s next Superintendent of Schools. A proven leader with a passion for student success, Dr. Chapman will begin the role on July 1, 2025. She was selected through a process guided by community priorities and brings the experience and values to lead Blue Valley forward.

Courtney Tegtmeier and Janie Huo selected as BVEF Innovative Educator Award recipients
Congratulations to Blue Valley’s Courtney Tegtmeier and Janie Huo, who have been selected as the 2025 recipients of the Blue Valley Educational Foundation’s (BVEF) Innovative Educator Award. The BVEF award recognizes two nominated educators who go above and beyond to inspire, engage and innovate in the classroom by applying innovative teaching methods, fostering critical thinking and igniting a passion for learning in their students.As recipients of the BVEF award, Tegtmeier and Huo will each receive a $1,250 grant for their classroom funded by the generosity of Ken Selzer and Deb Grimes.
